OLD NEWS:
--Oct 21, 2005: From
the band's official site: Sleater-Kinney regretfully must cancel
their November European dates on account of medical issues.
Guitarist/Singer Carrie Brownstein has suffered two severe allergic
reactions within the past four months, both resulting in trips
to the emergency room. Her doctor has advised that she not travel/tour
for prolonged periods of time until the condition stabilizes and
further tests are conducted. The band apologizes to all the people
that this cancellation affects.
--Oct 03, 2005: From the Subpop email-newsletter:
All Tomorrow's Parties May 2006 to be curated by our own
Mudhoney, The Shins and Sleater-Kinney! ...Weekend Two
takes place May 19th-21st and that weekend Sleater-Kinney,
The Shins and Ween will be curating the event. ATP is a remarkably
good time, put together the way that every festival should be
(and because of the on-site lodging there's never that annoying
trapped-rat feeling so pervasive at most music festivals) and
if you can possibly make it, you really, really should. Tickets
can be purchased directly through: http://www.atpfestival.com.

Last but not least, Subpop is also running a "survival kit contest" that you will be entered into, if you pre-order The Woods from them.
